Be Mine...!

Hello everyone!
Welcome to The Scrapping Cottage Blog!
 Today It's Frances from becreativebeyou.blogspot.com
with my first creation for CottageCutz dies.

I am showcasing a card using
 Flower Layered dies and the

Cottage Impressions Frame 1 Lettering Clear Stamps.

The base card is 6X6 and the I cut  the circle
with Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped circle dies.
Birdcage and birds were cut from glitter cardstock.
Sentiment was hand cut and used a white cake paper doily.
I added  flowers and leaves to card front as shown,
then glued some pretty pink buttons as centers for the flowers.
Added some red ribbon, pearl swirls and papers from
Bo Bunny that I sew to the cardstock.

For this card I used:

Get creative and have fun!

Chick Days

Good morning!  I hope this fine Friday is treatin' ya well!  I've got a card to share with you today that was inspired by one of my recent trips to town.  Around here, since we live in the country, a trip to go to any sort of store, is "a trip to town".  City folk always laugh at that statement, but when you live in the country, it is what it is, and we "go to town".  It is kinda funny when you think about it.  Anyway, the other day when I was "in town", I happened to notice that every farm store I passed (and there are a lot of them, BTW) had a banner out front that said "Chick Days".  Well, in the city, I'm sure that banner could have an entirely different meaning, but here in the country, that means these stores have live baby chicks for sale.  You can hear the cheeping and peeping as soon as you walk through the door, and those little chicks are so fuzzy and cute, which made me think of this Cottage Impressions stamp.  Chick days have arrived for this mother hen, too!!
I used a new paper stack from Kaiser Craft called Nan's Favourites Collection, and as well as the pretty patterned paper, it had the cute little die cut piece. that I put at the bottom of this card.  Hmmmm...  I wonder if our friends at The Scrapping Cottage could hook us up with some dies to cut fancy edges like that?  I'd LOVE to have some of those!!  This Hen and Chick's image was stamped with Memento tuxedo black ink and colored with my Copics, and the sentiment comes from Peachy Keen Stamps Sweetie Pie Peepers stamp set.  For embellishment, I used this pretty daffodil colored ribbon, and tie it with a cute little flower button.

I'm so glad you could drop by today!!   I wish you a blessed and wonderful weekend and as always, happy stamping!

Snow Many Memories

Hello! For my card today I used the Cottage Impressions Penguin with ski's stamp. I just think he is absolutely adorable! I colored him with my prismacolor colored pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits. I used my sakura glitter pen to give his ski's some sparkle.

I attached him to the card with a wobble, so he wiggles around. ☺ Ok, that's it for me today. See you back here next Sunday. Have a wonderful day!

p.s. You have until midnight tonight to comment on all my posts for the last 12 days on My Blog...I have 12 giveaways, including some Cottage Cutz Dies!!! ☺

Ho, Ho, Ho...

Good morning!  I hope you had a very blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving celebration.  Black Friday has arrived, and with it comes an awesome sale going on at The Scrapping Cottage!  I love those Black Friday sales, and taking advantage of an internet sale sounds like the way to go to me!  I'll be braving the cold and crowds at 4 a.m., but you can shop right from the comfort of your own home, and get all kinds of amazing deals on Cottage Cutz and Cottage Impressions stamps, and flat rate shipping, too!  There are some adorable dies and stamps included in this sale, so head on over there at check it out!!

For my card today, I used one of my new Cottage Impressions stamps.  This oh, so cute Dog with Santa Hat Stamp was colored with my Copic markers, and I broke out the Liquid Applique for the fur on the hat.  I sprinkled the Liquid Applique with a little dazzling diamond dust for sparkle, and heated it with my heat embossing tool to make it puffy.  Isn't this little guy adorable?!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I wish you a wonderful weekend, and a very Merry Christmas season!!
