3 TECHNIQUE WEDDING CARD

Hello dear friends...

It's Saturday today and I'm Anita with my weekly post. I hope you all are enjoying the spring season and the summer fun in your place. In India, it is extremely bright and sunny but I think in many parts of the world, the spring flowers are still blooming.
So lets begin with today's work. In my post today, I will show you a technique of partial die cutting and adding a little twist to the background of a card, with negatives of diecuts as stencils. And we will make a shaker card!!! Sounds difficult !!!!! Of course not !!! It's super easy and fun to play using these and believe me , the results are very pretty.

So here is my full card reveal.

Please follow the pictures below to see how to proceed with my card.
If you are still doubtful about flower making, then follow my flower making video tutorial .

The card measures 5 inches x 7 inches

Cut a  white card stock measuring 4.75 inches by 6.75 inches.
Draw a line with pencil, 3 inches from the top across the card as shown.
Make a mark on either side of the CottageCutz Swan (Elites) die, a little above the final bottom cutting lines and extend the mark at the back of the die so that you know where to place the die, when you turn it on the paper to cut. Coincide the marks with the pencil line.

Now for cutting , place the die and paper on your cutting plates in such a manner, that the part that is below the pencil line will be extending out of the cutting plate and the part above the pencil line will be on the cutting plate. So the part , that is out of the cutting plate, will not cut through the paper when passed through the die cutting machine. This is how it should look.

Now remove the portion attached to the die cut that is on the top of the line, with a craft knife, giving an empty background space behind the die cut.

Cut a rectangle out of the middle die from the CottageCutz Wide Rectangle Stitched Frame die and further cut it as shown.
Adhere around the cut frame of the partial cut swan with foam tape.

Cut another die cut from the swan die , apply glossy accents and sprinkle Fairy dust shimmer glitter on top . Let it dry and attach to the partial die cut of the swan with foam tape.

Let us make the shaker card  now.

Turn the card and attach a piece of transparent acrylic sheet covering the cut portion behind the swan.
Put foam tape all around and add lot of silver sequins in the centre.
Cut a piece of white card stock and colour with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. Further colour with Wink of Stella clear Glitter pen to add a little sparkle .
Attach this to the foam tape on the acrylic sheet.

Make flowers using 3D Flower # 2 and colour the leaves in green using peeled paint distress ink . I have used cutwork leaves and flourish from the CottageCutz Lacey Rose Die.
Arrange on the corner as shown. Finish with pearlised flowers and lace strips.

For the background, Cut out two die cuts from CottageCutz Congratulations die and stick two die cuts together to get a fairly thick expression. Ink with Tumbled glass ink and colour with glitter pen.
Take the negative of the congratulations die cut and use it as stencil to add a print on the background as shown.
Distress with same colour. Add the expression and finish off with sequins.

Attach the final mat card stock on to the front of the card base.

The card is ready.

I hope you liked this post and my card. Do leave your feed back.
The CottageCutz challenge #2 is active now and the theme is spring. CottageCutz has most beautiful spring themed dies that you can find here.

Happy Saturday and keep crafting !!!!

Card with flowers in a box

Hi everyone, Janja here!

For today's post, I used one die from each of this year's releases and prepared the card in a box. I like to combine dies with each other.

For the card we need:
  • white card base: 10.6" x 5.3", folded
  • black cardstock: 5" x 5"
  • two patterned paper: 4.8" x 4.8" and 4.8" x 2"
  • white and color cardstock
  • texture paste and stencil
  • stamp
  • embossing ink and white embossing powder
  • heat gun
  • white pigment ink pad
  • white pearl cardstock and transparent foil for the box
We prepare several cutouts with the die 3D flower #5.

The cutouts are molded with a shaping tool and assembled.

Once we have selected patterned paper and cardstock trimmed to the desired size, we cut out a hole in the smallest of them in the form of an oval with a die from the basic set oval (4th die from the center).
Place a stencil on paper and apply texture paste over it with a spatula.

While the textural paste is drying, we cut out another oval from black cardstock. We stamp the sentiment and treat it with hot embossing technique. The edges of the oval are shaded with white pigment ink.
We place cutout, which is now seen as a blackboard, in the previously prepared hole. The edges are masked with a white oval frame. We use the basic die sets: an oval and stitched oval (4th die from the center).

With nets cutouts we enliven the background of the card. At the end glue flowers and greenery (the leafy vines die and the Lacey rose die).

When a card is delivered in person, it's best if it is stored in a box.
A box is made 0.40" greater than the base card. The height is 0.79". In the box cover we cut out the opening (4.5" x 4.5") and on the inner side of the box cover clamp foil, with double-sided adhesive tape. At the end, decorate the box cover.
Our card is now neatly and securely stored.

And don't forget on our April challenge - anything goes. You still have time to share your projects with us till the end of the month.

Dies, which I used at work:

Thanks for looking.

Love you More!

Hello everyone, Cheryl here with another post using the Beautiful CottageCutz Dies from the Birthday Release.

I had so much fun creating my card for today. I did the panels for layering, and then added the frames for additional layering on my card. I LOVE layers, and anytime I can add tons, I do :) hehehe
Products used to create my card are listed below :)
Lacey Rose die, and airbrushed it using Copic markers. For the centers I used a glitter, and some old pearls. I did cut these out in white card stock, and cut 4 of them, so I could layer for a 3-D look

Butterfly Lisbeth was cut in a pink card stock, and a blue pattern paper, layered and I did add some pearls to it as well.

Basics Rectangle stitched frames-  I use the basics to cut the white, and red pieces, I also used the Rectangle for the blue polka dot layer too.

Embellishments- Red polka dot ribbon, old button, twine, pearls, Stamped sentiment, and sewing to complete my card for today.

Birtday gifts

Hi, Janja here!
Today, I prepared a birthday card for a young girl. I used a die from the new release CottageCutz Birthday: presents, bags & bows.

I put packages on white background, previously sprayed with distress inks. The background was cut from  CottageCutz Basic set: square. For the bows I used bows, variety die.

Since it is for birthday, I added a gift tag topper

If you want to add a gift card, put it in the gift envelope. I used the gift card envelope die. I  decorated it with a small bow - build-a-bow die and rose - lacey rose die

List of used dies:

Have a nice day.
