Ho Ho Ho!

Hi!

It's Anja here with another Christmas card. I used one of the cute gnomes die.

For this card I used:

- Cottage Cutz dies (Gnome w/ Chimney, Pierced Square Set, Build A House Set 2),

- Distress Inks,

- white card base (15x15 cm),

- red card stock for die cuts and background (14,5x14,5 cm),

- white card stock for die cuts and background (11x11 cm),

- green card stock for background (10x10 cm),

- sentiment stamp,

- black pigment ink,

- acrylic block,

- paper trimmer,

- paper glue.

First I cut and colored the gnome in the chimney. This time I used red and white card stock for die cuts.

Next I trimmed the background pieces. I used the biggest die from the Pierced Square Set for the smallest square piece.

Next I stamped the sentiment on a strip of white paper.

And after that I put all the pieces together and my card was done.

That's all from me for today. Have a nice week and see you again next Sunday.

From Our Home To Yours

Hi!

It's Anja here. Today I have a bigger project for you. As one of the last projects for this year I made a Christmas scene that will decorate my craft room in this holiday season. I had a frame in my shelf for quite some time and decided to use it for my project and give it a winter touch.

For this project I used:
- Cottage Cutz dies (Farm Truck w/Tree, Build A House Set 2, Build A House Accessories, Tree, Christmas Trailer, Fireplace w/ Accessories),
- Distress Inks and Oxides,
- black card stock for background (26x21 cm),
- white card stock for die cuts,
- white acrylic paint,
- brush,
- sponge,
- plastic stencil (bricks),
- silver pigment ink,
- white pigment ink,
white picture frame (20x25 cm),
- pencil,
- black pen,
- scissors,
- paper glue.

First I cut all the pieces. I cut additional pieces for the inner side of the windows and door. I colored it with yellow.

Next I colored the parts of the house. I used plastic stencil to make it look as it's build out of bricks.

Then I colored all the other pieces and glued it together. I used white acrylic paint and a sponge to color around the edges to look like snow (not photographed).

The I made the background. I used black cardstock and colored it with blue Oxide inks and white pigment ink. For the finish I splashed it with acrylic paint to look like snow is falling.

And then I cut the bottom part of the scene. I cut the snow ground out of the white card stock. In the end I just adhered all the pieces together and inserted the scene in the frame.

And my project was done.

That's all from me for today. I wish you all a Merry Christmas. I hope you can spend it with people you love.

See you again next Sunday for my last project in 2019.

We've Moved

Hi, Vladka here!

Also on today's card I'm using dies from Home sweet home release and also some dies from previous releases. I saw ideas for such a card on the Pinterest and decided to give it a try. So, I used Build a House set 2 die and cut out just upper part of the house to create little houses. Balloons are taking the middle one away to another place. Let me show you how I created this card.

Basics:

White card base: 4 1/4 x 6 inches (cut 4 1/4 x 12 inches, fold in half)
Additional piece of white cardstock and some white cardstock to cut out the die cuts

Other Supplies:

CottageCutz Dies: Listed Below
Distress Ink: Fired Brick, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagon, Dusty Concord, Aged Mahogany, Tumbled Glass
Other: Scissors, Paper trimmer, Sizzix machine, Scor-buddy, Water, Sheet of Acetate

1. First let's do some smooshing on additional piece of paper to prepare the background.  Add some Tumbled Glass Ink on acrylic block and spritzed some water on it. Then take a piece of plastic acetate and gentle pressed it against the block to pick up some of the ink. Now, press the plastic on the paper to transfer the ink. This will give you a splotchy look. Do the same with green distress ink on the bottom of the paper. This will look like the lawn.

2. Cut the Balloons out of white cardstock and color them with differnet distress inks and use blending tool for that. Distress the edges with darker distress inks.

3. With Build a House set 2 die cut 3 little houses out of white cardstock. Leave the first two white and glue the roof and the window on both of them. On the third one use the smallest heart from the heart set dies and cut the heart out of the house. Colore the heart red and put it back where it was cut out before. Color also the roof and glue it on the house.

4. Now it is time to glue everything together. But first cut the expression "We've Moved" out of the white cardstock. Now put all the pieces together as shown on the photo. Use aslo 3D foam adhesive squares to glue some balloons and the house with the heart.

I hope you like this card. Enjoy the summer and have fun creating. And don't forget, fourth CottageCutz challenge is waiting for you. This time theme is GREENERY. You can linked your project here. And please, use only Scrapping Cottage dies.
